DIY

make your own lipstick out of crayons!

whooaaaaaaaa back making posts again for the first time in AGES! i have been pretty busy (((but mostly lazy))) but now i am off in the world and i have a lot of free time (i have moved to spain since the last time i have posted!!) because it is summer for me so WHY THE HECK NOT make some more DIY posts?!?!
this is a veryyyy nice SUPER EASY face scrub/ mask that is so nice for summer.
kiwi is packed with tons of vitamin c (more than an orange for each ounce) which is great for anti-aging.

WHAT YOU NEED:
sugar
1/2 of a kiwi

WHAT TO DO:
1.) wash and dry your face with your regular face wash
2.) cut the kiwi in half, eat one half, then use the other for your face! it doesn’t need to be a large half.
3.) put a 1tbsp or so of sugar in your hand and dip the kiwi half onto it, then scrub in a circular motion all over your face (avoiding eyes!) for about a minute or so.
4.) rinse your face and rinse the kiwi
5.) towel blot your face dry then reapply the kiwi to your face
6.) let sit for 5 minutes, then rinse and moisturize!
this is real nice for the summer because it exfoliates your dead skin cells and helps to rejuvenate your skin!
*make sure to use a lot of moisturizer after this, and i recommend doing it at night because it is a little bit drying and stings a lil but it makes your skin look so good
hope everyone is having a lovely summer, i am going to TRY TRY TRY to make posts on here at least a few times a week!

easy diy highlights for summer! you just spray this on a section of your hair that you want to lighten, then drag your straightener over it a few times then BAM! PERMANENT highlights!

I haven’t tried this but this one youtube guru (atkristabradford) made a video on it and it looks SO COOL! you can get it at CVS and Ulta! its like 9 bucks a bottle!

DIY avocado honey mask

I love this mask because it is super hydrating, easy to make, feels awesome, and makes your skin glowing and moisturized!

What you’ll need: 1/4 of an avocado and about 1-2tsp honey

Mix it all together with a fork then apply it to your cleansed face and wait about 15-20 minutes then rinse and follow with a toner + moisturizer!

The batch I made looks super gross and chunky but it made my skin so smooth but you definitely want to use a toner OR a cleanser after it because it tends to leave a little bit behind!

Oh my gosh okay sorry guys I haven’t made a post in here for about a MONTH! I suck, I know… Okay I am going to try to be more active with posting, but here is a quick little DIY that I just did because my clogged pores were out of control!

What you’ll need:

1-2 tbsp of sea salt

1/4 of a tomato

step 1: get a small bowl, remove the skin of the tomato and then mash it with your fingers or a fork

step 2: add the sea salt! (more or less depending on how much you need)

step 3: apply it to your clean face, and while the tomato/sea salt mixture is still wet, take some more sea salt and pat it on your face, kind of like you are making a sea salt mask!

step 4: let that sit for about 5 minutes then rinse!

The acid in tomatoes help to break down the dirt and oil in your pores (black heads/ white heads) and the sea salt helps to exfoliate the dead skin so the acids in the tomato can really break down that crap as best as it can!

Also following with an egg white facial makes your skin feel oooohhhh sooooo nice. (You just whisk up an egg white then throw that on your face and let it sit until it dries, then rinse and moisturize and voila!)

I hope you liked this!

DIY Gentle exfoliation for everyday use:

This is more of a quick little tip rather than a DIY! But this has really helped my skin a lot, it helps to make your pores look smaller by sucking up your extra oil and it gently brushes away your dead skin cells!

It works wonderfully for sensitive, oily, and normal skin types!

What you’ll need:

+ your favorite face wash! (recently I have been using avalon organics vitamin c refreshing cleansing gel, you can get it at walmart and I love it for this!)

What to do: pour a tiny bit of baking soda into your hand, then add a TINY amount of water, then 1-2 squirts of your face wash and turn it into a paste-like consistency.

This is a-ok to use everyday because it is very gentle, but remember even with this kind of exfoliating you still need to do a harsher exfoliant every few days once your dead skin cells start to build up more!  I usually do this every morning!

DIY green tea sea salt scrub

This is super easy and awesome for gross, dry, flaky winter skin! (and oily skin that needs to be exfoliated!!)

**not recommended for sensitive skin**

What you’ll need:

- 1 green tea bag

- 1 tsp sea salt (2 tsp if you want to exfoliate super well)

**MAKE SURE IT IS SEA SALT, NOT IODIZED SALT (TABLE SALT)**

step 1: get a small bowl and fill it with hot water, place the tea bag in it for about 3 minutes.

step 2: pour out the water, don’t squeeze out the tea bag!

step 3: open the tea bag and empty the contents into the bowl

step 4: add 1tsp or 2tsp of sea salt depending on how harshly you want to exfoliate, then mix!

wash your face with a gentle cleanser, then pat it dry and exfoliate with this. It burns a little because thats just what sea salt does! this is very healing and leaves your skin matte and fresh looking.

Do not do it more than about 2/3 times a week because it can be too harsh on your skin.

I only do salt scrubs when my skin is looking really dry and gross!

PLEASE use a good lotion after doing this because your skin will feel super dry if you don’t! AND your face will be red for a little while but it goes away within 5-10 minutes!

DIY super smoothing chocolate body scrub for dry rough skin

**I wouldn’t recommend you to use this if you have sensitive skin***

This scrub helps to get rid of all your dead skin cells leaving your skin super smooth and glowing!

What you’ll need:

- 3/4 cup DARK brown sugar (regular sugar and light brown sugar aren’t harsh enough)

- 1/5 cup cocoa powder

- 1/5 cup milk

- 1 tsp vanilla (optional)

In a bowl combine dark brown sugar, cocoa powder, milk and vanilla then mix.

Do this BEFORE you start the water in the shower! It will feel kinda sticky but the friction that your hand creates with the stickiness and the sugar is what deep exfoliates you! then hop in the shower and rinse off and follow with your body wash, and once you get out use a good lotion!!!

DIY Affordable home whitening

I do this every week or twice a week when my teeth need an extra “boost”!

I like this better for TOUCH UPS (after you already have your teeth the color that you want from white strips). this is good for sensitive teeth and only takes about 10 minutes if that.

What you’ll need:

-tooth brush

- tooth paste

- baking soda

- floss / flosser

- q-tips

- hydrogen peroxide

- plus white 5 minute speed whitening

step 1:  wet your toothbrush, apply toothpaste and then put some baking powder on top of your toothpaste, brush your teeth as usual.

step 2: floss! be sure to get between your teeth really well!

step 3: take the hydrogen peroxide bottle cap and fill it half way with hydrogen peroxide and then half way with the plus white 5 minute gel

-apply one heavy coat with a q-tip on every single tooth, front and back! then spit and apply one more heavy coat (leave this on your teeth)

- get your toothbrush and add some baking soda then brush your teeth with it, try to avoid your gums and your tongue!

- rinse and then follow with your toothpaste because if you dont your mouth is gonna taste disgusting!

NOW YOU ARE DONE

THIS IS MY BEFORE AND AFTER (the lighting in my bathroom is crazy sorry omg)

before doing this:

AFTER:

i love this cause it is way cheaper than crest white strips and the stuff lasts you forever and it works really well for touch ups!!!

DIY lip gloss

ok last comparison hahha

one lipgloss is homemade, and the other is not!

CAN YOU TELL THE DIFFERENCE!?

nope!

the one on the LEFT is homemade, and the one on the right is a mary kay lipgloss!

what you’ll need:

- small container (contact lens cases work perfectly)

- q-tip, de-fluffed at one end

- vaseline

- your favorite flavored lipgloss

- your favorite blush (I used NARS orgasm blush, but you can use whatever you want!)

step 1: scrape some of your blush with your de-fluffed q-tip into your container

step 2: add a tiny bit of vaseline and your favorite lipgloss

step 3: mix and add more blush/lipgloss or whatever you want until you get your desired consistency.

you can skip out using a lipgloss in this all together, but i really like it to flavor the lipgloss cause vaseline can be kind of yucky! but the vaseline really helps to thicken the blush so it will stay on your lips longer!

yay i hope you guys liked this!
