DIY
For Blondes

Would you like your hair as white as this?

I CAN HELP.

The first rule of getting nice, platinum hair is to NEVER use box dye. ever. If you do, your hair will probably end up being a pee yellow.

What I use is

Paul Mitchell Cream Bleach. I use cream bleach because a lot of powder bleaches can burn your scalp and cream bleach is just easier for me.

I mix in a 30 volume cream developer with cream bleach to help with the lifting process(you can use different volumes according to the color of your hair)

The nice thing about bleach is that you can definitely tell when it is fully processed by the color. When it is fully processed it will look completely blonde.

In order to get an ashy color(platinum), apply toner after washing the bleach out of your hair.

Upkeep:

One thing that is a MUST for me to have the lightest hair possible is using Clairol Shimmer lights shampoo and conditioner. You can get it at your local beauty store, and each bottle is between 10 and 13 dollars. It keeps your hair from getting brassy and yellow looking and keeps it shiny, and as a platinum as possible.

If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask :]
