- Use a gentle cleanser and try to avoid over-exfoliating (as this can irritate your skin and increase oil production)
- toners can help to dry up your oil!
- get a facial lotion that is oil-free
- aim for a matte foundation, then be sure to set it with a powder!
my favorite products that help to control oil:

clean & clear oil absorbing sheets (there are also a ton of different brands, neutrogena has them and i’m pretty sure elf does too) are great for removing oil from your skin during any time of the day. they don’t remove any of your makeup which is also a plus! (you can find oil absorbing sheets nearly everywhere!)
if you are willing to spend some more money, this stuff is awesome:

urban decay’s “de slick” stops your face from being oily for 16 hours! i love this stuff, i haven’t had to use oil absorbing sheets since buying it! you spray it on after your moisturizer (before putting on your foundation), then once you are done with your makeup you spray it on your face again and there you go! oil free lookin face all day!
you can buy it at sephora:
(XL size): http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P300610&categoryId=C10461
(regular size): http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P277222&categoryId=B70
its cheaper to get the XL size though!
yay okay i hope this helps some of you! i have really terrible combination skin, it gets super dry and it also gets ridiculously oily so i feel your pain!!
